To apply for recognition:

1) Create a constitution using the University guide on how to write a constitution and please read the university manual on how to start a club.

2) Fill out our recognition questionnaire.[Questionnaire]

3) Please email meeting@sacfunded.net to schedule a time slot at a weekly Thursday exec meeting.

4) Please drop off 10 copies of the recognition questionnaire in the OSL office in Houston 200 (2nd floor of Houston, all the way to the right) by 5PM the day your group is coming in.

5) After the meeting with SAC Exec, Exec will make a recommendation on your group's case, which will be presented to the General Body at the next General Body Meeting and you will be informed of usually within a day after the interview with Exec. If Exec recommends the group for recognition, and the General Body votes in your favor, a representative from your group will need to be present at the General Body Meeting to accept the recognition. If SAC decides not to recommend you for recognition, you may appeal the recommendation at the General Body Meeting, which may be approved if there is a majority vote in your favor by the General Body.

Exec recommendations are based on the following factors:

Is the group unique?

Has the group been in existence for at least one year?

What were the past events?

Is there a mix of upperclassmen on the board?

Is the group sustainable?

What would the group expect SAC to fund? SAC makes its recommendations for funding events based on the SAC Funding Guidelines.
